The computer hardware are the parts of a computer including the central Processing Unit (C.P.U) keyboard. Monitors and drives other extra parts are called peripheral components are device include Mouse, printer, scanner , digital camera etc.(A). Central Processing Unit (C.P.U.)
It is the central processor of the computer system it is also called as brain of computer system it has three different units.
- Arithmetic and logical unit
- Memory unit
- Control unit
1. Arithmetic and logical unit
The Arithmetic and logical unit (A.L.U.) performs all arithmetic and logical operations of our computer. It perform addition, multiplication, division, subtraction, and other logical operation like AND, OR, NOT etc.
2.Memory Unit
The memory unit is used to store the result it also store intermediate results of processing.
3. Control unit
The control unit of the part of the the central Processing Unit works as the supervisor which controls all the instruction of the computer.
(B). Keyboard
It is a flat piece of plastic board with several button arrange on it. The keyboard is used to type information into the computer for giving instructions. There are many different keyboard layout and size available with the basic Latin language called the QWERTY layout. Basically there are 108 keys available in a keyboard.
(C). Monitor
The monitor shows information on the screen when we use type this is Called outputting of informations. It is also called as VDU visual display unit .
It can be following of many types.
It can be following of many types.
- CRT - CATHODE RAY TUBE
- TFT - THIN FILM TRANSISTORS
- L.C.D. - LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAYS
- L.E.D. - LIGHT EMITTING DIODES
(D). Mouse
Computer of today using graphical user interface. In graphical user interface we work on a window which is in picture format. Mouse provide a printer on that Windows to give instruction to the computer.
(E). Scanner
Scanner allow you to transfer picture and photograph to your computer. Scanner scan the images from the top to bottom of the image one line at a time.
There are three types of scanner which are as-
(F). Printer
The printer takes the information from your screen and transfer it to paper. It means creates the hard copy of any information.
There are two types of printer
- Impact Printer
- Non Impact Printer
These are as defined
- Impact Printer
In these printer there is a mechanical contact between the printer head and paper.
For example- Dot matrix printer
2. Non Impact Printer
In this printer there is no any contact between the printer head and paper.
For example- Laser jet printer & Ink jet printer.
